Fear Makes Us Human
--
If people didn’t feel fear, they wouldn’t be able to protect themselves from legitimate threats.
Fear Is Human Thing
Fear is an emotion that is often seen as negative and something that we want to avoid. However, fear can actually make us more human. It is a powerful emotion that can cause us to act in ways that are unexpected and can bring out our humanity in ways we never thought possible.
One of the most significant ways that fear makes us more human is by allowing us to empathize with others. When we experience fear, we become more attuned to the emotions of others and can understand their experiences better. This empathy can lead us to become more compassionate and caring towards those around us, as we recognize that they too are vulnerable to fear and uncertainty.
Fear Makes You Stronger
This may sounds you extreme opposite of what you have felt before about fear but let me challenge your brain by saying that the fear can also make you more courageous. When you are afraid, you are forced to confront fear and overcome it. Fear is a natural response to danger and is essential for human survival. When you feel afraid, your body responds by releasing adrenaline and other hormones that prepare you for the “fight or flight” response. This enables you to respond quickly to a perceived threat and take action to protect self.
As per Darvin’s theory the one who survives is nor the largest, nor the strongest but the one who changes with time and becomes the fittest.
Fear does the right thing for you until you take the control over your emotions. It is the emotion which is fragile and makes you weaker, not the fear. Rather, fear can help you regulate your emotions. Like, fear of failure may motivate you to work harder and achieve your goal, while fear of rejection may encourage you to be kinder and more compassionate towards others.
However, fear can also have negative effects if it is excessive or irrational. For example, phobias and anxiety disorders can be debilitating, preventing individuals from living their lives to the fullest. Fear can also be used to manipulate and control others, leading to feelings of helplessness and anxiety.
Final Words
Fear is a natural human emotion that can be helpful in many ways, including survival, avoiding danger, learning, and emotional regulation. However, excessive or irrational fear can have negative effects on our mental and physical health.
As with any emotion, it is important to recognize and manage fear in a healthy and constructive way.
